Absolutely. My fiance and I have been together for nine years, and have had simple silver bands (love rings) for eight of those, and when we get married next year, we’re definitely keeping them. I never take mine off, and it looks fine, just like a wedding band. Worse comes to worst, there’s always silver cleaner.

Where would be the the cheapest place to get one. I had planned on buying the ring here, but since my plans changed and I’m leaving in about 10 days, I don’t think I’m gonna have time to order the one I wanted off the internet. My fiance doesn’t like yellow gold and doesn’t want anything fancy.

Thanks Sarah T., I didn’t know white gold was forbidden too. Thanks Lou, I would prefer platinum plated sterling silver. That is what I originally planned on buying here in the states.
You can get a silver ring for about $10, maybe less if you haggle with the pricing. I am not sure about white gold or platinum, but the prices are awesome there compared to the US. Another thought may be titanium, but you must know the exact size, as it cannot be resized (that’s what my husband has and I got it for about $50 in the States). Jewelry is cheap in Morocco and from what I see the quality is very good, so shop and enjoy!

will the color of the ring wash off after a certain period, will the gold wash off and leave the sterling silver? Another thing is that it is really cheap….cheap like $90 for the female wedding band and $60 for the male wedding band…….IS THIS A GOOD RING SET TO BUY???
yes eventually after many years or if you work out while wearing the ring the sweat will quicken the process, but it will take like 20-50 years

What kind of alloy is your (or your husband’s) wedding ring made of? Did you guys pick gold, silver, white gold, platinum, etc.? Any reason for choosing this metal?
And lastly, did you just get a simple band or was it decorated in some way?
My fiance and I were looking at Titanium Wedding Bands because they never scratch and are not supposed to bend. However, when we were talking to the salesman he said that if for some reason it were to bend and cut circulation to the finger you have to have a special tool to get it cut off and they would have to have it delivered from another county. We decided against it and went with a gold band with diamonds across…..i’m kind of glad because it matches mine better!
I think the ring should match or favor the brides set. Good luck!

I need to get my fiance a woman plain silver wedding band. Ive looked everywhere, she asked for silver its so cheap that no jewelery stores or even target are selling them! They are the same as a man’s plain wedding band. You can find them in Gold, white gold or silver at the walmart or k-mart jewelry dept.

I’m getting married soon and looking for a wedding band. I really like a 2 tone sterling silver on yellow gold band but don’t completely trust sterling silver as the material.
Does anybody have a wedding band that is sterling silver? Is it a good material? Am I better off spending the extra money for white gold?
